Prior to his appointment, [Derek Davis] effectively manage historic properties, visual arts exhibits, and performing arts projects. He worked five years as the head of exhibits and programs at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC) in Ft. Lauderdale. Davis also developed community outreach activities, educational outreach designs, and cultural exhibits throughout the South Florida area. "I'm very excited about the opportunity to be a part of Dillard Museums' history," said Davis.
