The State of Missouri could potentially be on the hook for major money in the wake of a Western District Court of Appeals decision regarding the Personal Care Assistance program for disabled adults.

The appeals court determined in Elisha Jensen v. Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that the state improperly took weekend pay away from caregivers for a couple of years. And Kansas City attorney Kimberly Jo Sternemann estimates one of her clients is due several thousand dollars in back pay.
