Summary
One of the taglines for the high school Amerindie Dare brags that it presents three stereotypes-the straight-arrow chick, the dweeb, the popular rich guy-"like you've never seen them before." True, perhaps we've never literally seen, say, a theater type (Emmy Rossum) slutting herself up and prowling for cock. But one thing this character flip is not is surprising-just as it's no great screenwriting invention that an unpopular kid (Ashley Springer) is secretly gay, or that what the cool stud (Zach Gilford) really wants to do is act and maybe explore his bi-curiosity.
