Daniels Proposes Toll-Free I-69

Summary


Gov. Mitch Daniels said Thursday there would be no tolls on Interstate 69, changing a plan that would have charged motorists to use the highway in Southern Indiana between Evansville and Martinsville.

Daniels also proposed building a new outer-loop tollway through several suburban Indianapolis counties through a public-private partnership to finance the portion of I-69 not yet funded.
