"We have to win these games at home," said [Crew] head coach Sigi Schmid. "We're right there. We're close. We didn't get dominated. We didn't get outplayed. We were in the game. We had our chances to win the game, but at the end of the day, the final result is we didn't win the game."

"What we need to do to take that next step is we have to be able to find that resolve when the game is going against us," said Schmid. "The game is going for us, sometimes you get goals and sometimes you don't get goals. You have to score goals when you are on top, and we didn't do that. The thing is, when the game tips a little bit, and every game is going to tip, no matter who you play, every team is going to have moments where they dominate the game. And that is when we need stand up, step up, and say: I'm in charge here. We need to resolve that on the field."
