A question on giving equal attention to staff communication is answered. It's not uncommon for communication to take a back seat to the daily business grind, especially in busy credit departments. But the quality and frequency of communication that occurs within a work group plays an enormous role in keeping employees satisfied and productive. Don't allow frequent emails to replace face time with employees. Communicating openly with employees and in a way that makes a personal connection is vital to earning their trust and enhancing their performance and loyalty. From a management perspective, free-flowing communication also ensures you're receiving the information and insights you need to effectively guide your team.
