"You need to understand your partner. Know your status," said [Osuagwu]. "HIV\ AIDS is a silent epidemic because we [African Americans] don't want to acknowledge it in our community. Men on the 'down low' play a vital role in inflection rates among women. It is time for us to stop rejecting these men so they won't have to hide."

"Overeating can be a symptom of depression," said Dr. [Barbara Warren, Ph.D.] of OSU College of Nursing. "Making healthier food choices and exercise can decrease the urge to over indulge in comfort foods. A holistic approach in mind, body and soul is the key to healthy living."

Corporate Sisters was suc- , cessful in establishing "The African American Women's Health Fund" at the Columbus Medical Association Foundation. The charitable fund is dedicated to supporting health-related issues impacting Black women. "For the Health of Black Women" is its third major health effort.
