Summary


A driver can be convicted of felony leaving the scene of an accident even if he was not legally responsible for causing the crash and remained at the scene and rendered assistance after the wreck, the Virginia Court of Appeals ruled.

The court also upheld the conviction of Clifford Robinson Jr. for reckless driving just before the Spotsylvania County, Va., crash that killed Christie Antonuccio and her 4-year-old son in June 2004.
