Five hundred of those sit atop Rendezvous Mountain on a 40- to 50-degree chute that's 50 feet across at its widest point and arguably the most notorious trail in North America: THE VIBE The camp attracts a small but hardcore crowd of mostly middle-aged men who are serious enough about speed to have all the specialized equipment: helmet, speed suit and downhill or super G skis running to lengths of 215 cm and up. More indoor training sessions and video analysis round out the daily learning portions, which are followed by the extracurricular activities: two après events and a final-night banquet.
