Summary
It's been 12 long years since writer-director [Kevin Smith] exploded onto the indie scene with his scandalously scatological register-jockey comedy Clerks. Produced for a pittance, shot in crummy-looking black and white, and taking place almost entirely inside the New Jersey convenience store where Smith toiled behind the counter every day, Clerks was a rugged, do-it-yourself dispatch from all the guys you thought you'd left behind in your hometown-you know, the ones still living with their moms and working the same go-nowhere jobs they had in high school.
