Summary
Working off of the success of the Over the Rhine Inmate Cleanup model in 2006-2007, the City of Cincinnati, Hamilton County (Commissioners, Sheriff, and Solid Waste District), 3CDC, and Keep Cincinnati Beautiful combined efforts to fund and expand the clean-up detail countywide. Under the Partnership, supervised Hamilton County Sheriff's inmates will pick up litter along major corridors, gateways, and business districts on a two-week rotation, while continuing daily clean-ups in Over the Rhine. Through the partnership, KCB will also take its litter prevention programs to eight jurisdictions outside of Cincinnati.
"This is a great example of the power of partnerships to impact our community," Mayor [Mark Mallory] said. "The Sher-iff's cleanup patrols were in-credibly successful in Over-the-Rhine. I am pleased that we are able to not only bring them back, but expand the services to other areas throughout Cincin-nati and Hamilton County."See the full content of this document
