The 30-page book, "When CFOs Debate," covers issues such as automating financial systems, providing earnings guidance, offshoring and investing in green business practices, among others.
The topics for debate listed in the book include: * Hire now or later - for current skills or future potential? * Separate finance and accounting? * How much offshoring makes sense? * Is there a case to improve systems and processes before outsourcing? * How much support should be automated? * Do it right, or do it fast? * Does it make sense to provide earnings guidance? * Going green: should the finance department take action on sustainability?
