The Colorado Chapter and Region IX CEA would like to extend sincere congratulations to each of the nine Teachers of the Year recipients. Each has earned this honor through exceptional work and contributions to their respective facilities.
Teaching in the correctional setting offers challenges well beyond the traditional classroom. In addition to the flexibility, adaptability, and persistence needed by any teacher, a correctional educator must also be willing to fulfill job duties well beyond the scope of the traditional classroom.
