PORTSMOUTH - Carol Ann Elks, 63, passed away Aug. 21, 2009, after a very courageous battle with cancer.
She was a retired teacher's aide with the Portsmouth City School System and a QVC employee. She was a member of Deep Creek United Methodist Church. Carol was predeceased by her husband, James L. Elks and is survived by her son, James L. Elks Jr. of the home; one brother, Ronald G. Jarvis of Norfolk; and one sister, Gladys J. Haigler of Monroe, N.C.; two granddaughters and one grandson; two nieces and two nephews; plus countless friends.See the full content of this document
