Summary
The original founder and owner of the Cains Brewery in Stanhope Street, Liverpool was an Irish immigrant, Robert Cain, who came to Liverpool from County Cork in 1844 aged 18. Cain died in 1907 at the age of 81. Today, the brewery is owned by the Dusanj brothers, the first Indian family ever to own a British brewery.
