Buddha in Redface by Eduardo Duran

Summary

Buddha In Redface has to do with being a Native person, and the history behind Los Alamos coming into our land," [Kathy Sanchez] says. "It's a Native way of looking at why Los Alamos is the way it is. This book will give you an insight into how your American way of teaching about religions, medicine, and many other things, differs from the Native way. If you're coming from a Native perspective, this book will make sense because it fluidly goes back and forth between the two ways of thinking. The main character is Dr. [Eduardo Duran], a physician in the Indian country near Los Alamos who has to tend to some patients, but how he thinks he's going to treat them ends up being different from what happens in the end.
