So, as fine actors from that first year came and went-to "real" work, to LA or to the Happy Hunting Grounds-I told readers of the Sun what I brutally, honestly thought-that most of what I saw was great. James Dunn's happy version of South Pacific with talented Danny Kovacs (who, alas, got out of the business); Ross Valley's Seascape with Fran Nikas (alive and living in Ashland) and Alex Ross (seen this past season in Shadowlands). About Ronnie Dee Blair in TAM's rousing country musical, SanJoaquin Blues, and Soli lieberman's jewel of a theater at the Golf Course (which morphed into Marin Theatre Company), with big male talents Robert Morris (still here, thank goodness) along with Tom Dahlgren and Stan Weston (both went off to LA and the rest is silence).
