Summary


"The one thing is that when you face an aggressive defense like they have, it makes you susceptible to the trap," Kilbourne coach Vince Trombetti said. "We got a shot at getting something to pop and took advantage of it. The line did a great job of blocking."

"We had too many miscues that resulted in big plays for them," Brookhaven coach Anthony Thornton said. "Bad snaps, missed assignments, penalties ... our kids fought hard but we just got outexecuted by them. It's that simple."

"We tried to confuse them by changing our looks up front," Trombetti said. "We wanted to keep [Andrew Herrell] from getting any really big runs because he can change games. Our defensive line did a nice job getting pressure and the secondary did what it was supposed to do. This was a great defensive battle and our guys really hung in there and fought all night."
