Bosse Field's Long, Storied History Is a Winner

Turning 89 isn't usually a special birthday. Seventy-five is golden and 100 is in a league of its own. But today Bosse Field is blowing out 89 candles, so to speak. The first 1,000 fans at tonight's 7:05 game will get tiny replicas of the Evansville landmark.

The city, which not long ago scrapped plans for a fancy riverfront stadium, is saying thanks for the memories. Thanks to all those boys of summer, from the Evas of 1915, the Braves of the '50s, the Esox of the '60s and the Triplets of the '70s and '80s to the Otters of today.
