Beyond Suburbia
Levittown may have been the nation's first suburb, but Westchester was the model suburb as seen on TV, in sitcoms from the 1960s through the '80s. Here's Dick Van Dyke tripping over an ottoman in New Rochelle. There's Maude opening the door to her upper-middleclass home in tuckahoe.
