Instead of offering tax credits to the poor to purchase their own health insurance and making health insurance tax deductible for workers, Democrats have been demanding a "public option" that facilitates a government takeover of the entire heathcare economy. Since their elected Democrat representatives aren't reading the bill, their constituents are reading it to them.
