Significant changes in the insurance industry, rising premiums, and increased customer expectations can make life stressful. When excessive work stress and tension appear, so do wellness problems. It is hard to be your best when you do not feel your best. Following are some steps you can implement to take control of your circumstances at work and take care of yourself: 1. Organize your work space. 2. Make your workplace attractive. 3. Do not "catch" other people's stress. 4. Do not submit to the tyranny of the urgent. 5. Nurture yourself. 6. Eat sensibly. 7. Get the proper amount of sleep for you. 8. Exercise regularly. Allot time to take care of yourself now. Understand what is important for you to be your best. Commit to change and you will be astonished at how much better you feel. When you feel good, you become more efficient and have greater energy and your customers benefit.
