The Banker magazine has awarded BBVA Compass an Innovation in Banking Technology Award for its Virtual Banker project. The BBVA Compass Virtual Banker is a custom-made, fully interactive high-end video conference platform that will allow the bank to offer specialized one-on-one services, such as mortgages and investment advice, regardless of the banker's geographic location, directly to any branch. Alvaro Aguilar, BBVA Compass director of innovation and office of the chairman, said the award acknowledges the commitment and strategic importance across the RBVA Group to constantly innovate, even in today's complex environment.
