Summary
The Battle of Great Bridge, Dec. 9, 1775, lasted only half an hour. Only one Patriot was wounded, Lt. Thomas Nash of Norfolk County. The British lost 102. This was the first victory of the Revolutionary War. The planned Battlefield Historic Park & Visitor Center will ensure these brave soldiers are never forgotten.
