Summary


A bar that served alcohol to an intoxicated woman could not be held liable for negligence concerning her claim she was later raped by a third party at a neighboring hotel, a Massachusetts Superior Court judge has ruled.

The woman argued that even though the rape occurred at a different location by an individual who did not work at the bar, the bar's conduct proximately caused her to be assaulted.
