Summary

It has been shown that under-inflated tires lead to tread separation and tire failure, and in the U.S. last year alone, low tires resulted in 40,000 accidents, 33,000 injuries, and more than 650 deaths. An improperly inflated tire not only increases fuel consumption, but Jt also increases disposal costs of failed tires and the need for additional production of new tires, as well as adding excessive emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere.
