Summary
Wanden Treanor: A Marin resident since childhood, Treanor has served on the College of Marin board for eight years, on the Marin Emergency Medical Care Committee for 13 years as well as on the board of the Marin Education Fund. She sees the need to promote healthy, sustainable communities; better transportation alternatives; and access to education as key issues. Treanor was the one speaker who said "if" she decides to run.
Cynthia Murray: She has been a Marin County Supervisor for 14 years following seven years of service on the Novato City Council. Murray is seen by most observers as the most conservative person in the race. She mentioned her business background and cited the economy as an important issue along with public safety, water, transportation and education. Every candidate except Murray strongly supported state Sen. Sheila Kuehl's universal healthcare bill. Murray said she is "reserving judgment" and needs more information.Pam Torliatt: A fresh face for most Marin residents, Torliatt is a member of the Petaluma City Council and has strong regional experience as well. She mentioned growth, the environment, healthcare and education as major issues. Her progressive approach to politics seemed in line with most Marin candidates, and she acquitted herself well in her presentation and response to questions.See the full content of this document
