About some aspects of military-technical policy of the state in the light of redrafted military doctrine of the Russian Federation.

In view of the fact that the development of military doctrine principles is the competence of the country's supreme strategic executive bodies, which requires coordinated activities of specific federal authorities based on respective scientific recommendations, and taking into account a public character of our discussion, in my speech I would like to share with you only some of my ideas concerning military-technical principles of the Russian military doctrine.

Since quite a few of today's speeches were devoted to the analysis of current trends affecting the geostrategic situation in the world and the present-day military-political situation, I am not going to elaborate on this problem. I would only like to emphasize that over the recent years Russia--as a democratic state with a growing competitive economy--has considerably strengthened its positions in the world. And its role and value as one of the dominant military-political and economic centers in the world has also increased.
