Hawthorn Bank is the name selected by Exchange National Bancshares Inc.,Jefferson City, for its subsidiary banks. As part of the strategic plan announced last December, the company said its board had determined that it would be desirable to adopt a name that would separate and distinguish its banks from any odier bank in Missouri or the central states region.
Under the strategic plan, the holding company has already taken the first step in consolidating its four banks into a single bank through the combination of Osage Valley Bank into Citizens Union State.
