Summary

Jessica Wink, the 22-year-old wife of a Palm Beach County Sheriffs deputy, had sex with a 16-year-old high school student, according to the Palm Beach Sheriffs Office. The act was videotaped by 28-year-old German Armentano, according to authorities. Now Wink, Armentano, and the 16-year-old have been arrested on charges of engaging in sex with a minor. Teri Barbera, the Palm Beach Sheriffs Office spokeswoman, said the 16-year-old was not a victim and he was charged because he engaged in the videotaping of sex involving a minor. Maybe it's me, but charging the teen just doesn't seem right.

City Manager Keith Chadwell is being urged to hire a director for the city's two Community Redevelopment Agency districts. The only problem is that one judge has already ruled in the case of property owner Derrick Phillips that the city's CRA is not a valid entity and therefore has no authority to undertake any development matters. Even so, the eastside CRA district covers more than 158 acres and has taken in $5 million since 2002. The northwest district which covers more than 3,000 acres and has pulled in approximately $39 million since 1990, so the Smell of money is in the air, and only a court order may be able to stop, the push to hire a director.

Golfview, a Palm Beach County town, had only 140 residents when it went under in 1997 to clear the way for an airport expansion project. The last Broward city to disappear was a little hick town called Hacienda Village, which was dissolved into Davie in 1984 to make way for the Interstate 595 expressway. West Park was founded based on misleading information. Nevertheless, Commissioner Felicia Brunson, who worked to get the city formed, seems to think residents bear some of the blame. Why she feels that way is unclear.
