Arizona Governor Jan Brewer Asks Pres. Obama for More Funding, Aerial Support On Border

Once again, Gov. Jan Brewer is requesting more assistance from the White House to deal with illegal immigration and drug trafficking on the Arizona-Mexico border.

In a May 20 letter to President Barack Obama, Brewer asked for OH- 58 Kiowa helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles for surveillance missions along the border, as well as for more funding for an anti- drug trafficking task force. More aerial surveillance and increased funding for the Joint Counter-Narco Terrorism Task Force were both parts of the border security plan Brewer unveiled in April.
