The author's aim in this reexamination of Aquinas in the light of Wittgenstein's influential ideas is not to criticize modern thought in the name of the Christian medieval tradition, nor is it an attempt to return medieval philosophy to its rightful place in universities, but it is an effort to engage in reinterpretations of the Summa Theologiae in the light of Wittgenstein's Philosophical Investigations.
