Make sure there is a balance between fiction and nonfiction. Include resources that link students to interesting information, e.g., websites, online databases, magazine articles, and interesting organizations and businesses. Use a theme like "Take Flight @ your library®." Take the theme in new directions over the course of a few months. Have students help contribute to the changing titles and resources represented on the bulletin board.
