Summary
Nassau County legislators passed a law in November that closely regulates motorized mini-scooters, ATVs and pocket bikes, The law restricts their use in parking lots, in shopping centers and on the sidewalk, areas not covered by state law. ATV riders must also have written consent from landowners - even on private property - if the rider does not own the property. The law also requires retailers to inform consumers about the restrictions.
