Summary
In the early morning hours of Friday, March 19, 2004, our Lord and Saviour called Annie Mae Brooks home at the blessed age of 84. She passed away peacefully in her sleep while tucked away comfortably in her own bed.
Annie, the daughter of the late Ernest and Daisy Freeman, was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Bertie County, N.C. She moved to Virginia at a very young age where she was educated in the Norfolk County public schools. Annie was fortunate to finish the 11th grade and worked hard in various laborious jobs, the last of which was as a domestic engineer.See the full content of this document
