"The Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) sets the priorities for all major roadway construction work within Ohio," stated Kirk Slusher, district one planning administrator, ODOT. E.S. Wagner. based in Oregon, Ohio, is the contractor for the first phase, which takes place on US 24 between State Route 424 and a location just east of State Route 15 (west of Defiance), The phase will include construction of two additional lanes in the westbound direction to expand the route to a four-lane divided highway, the upgrade of the Ohio 15/18 interchange with US 24 to a three-lane structure featuring two through lanes and a center left-turn lane, construction of an overpass to carry US 24 over West High Street/Switzer Road, construction of a new connector road between Ohio 15/18 (Ralston Avenue) and West High Street, replacement of the US 24 bridges over the Maumee and Tiffin Rivers, and installation of traffic signals at the interchange ramps of Ohio 15/18 with US 24.
