MOYOCK - Patrick Joseph Nee Jr., 59, died Feb. 1, 2010 at home in Moyock after a long battle with cancer. Pat was born in Portsmouth, a graduate of Portsmouth Catholic High School, Class of 1969. He retired as a rigger supervisor with 38 years of service from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Maple, N.C.

VIRGINIA BEACH - Thomas Lee Slagle, 64, passed away Feb. 1, 2010 at his residence. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Jack L. Slagle; his sister, Susan Flanigan; his daughter, Michelle Louise Slagle; and a son, Michael Thomas Slagle. NORFOLK - Ernestine Lytle Dancy, 58, of the 4800 block of Windermere Ave. passed away Jan. 28, 2010, at her residence. She was born April 24, 1951, to the late Gloria and Earnest Lytle in New York City. She is survived by her husband, Alonzo Dancy; one daughter, Veronica Wenze; two sons, Andrew (Robyn) and Patrick (Shacana); two sisters, Gloria Lytle and Crystal Lytle; one brother, Eugene (Lori); and a host of other relatives and friends.

VIRGINIA BEACH - William Putnam Love Jr., 94, returned to his Maker on Jan. 19, 2010 at Pacifica Senior Living following declining health. He would have been 95 on March 1. He was a supervisor for J.D. Miles Roofing Company for more than 25 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era.

Kermit T. Foreman Jr.

NORFOLK - On Jan. 31, 2010, in the early morning hours God in his infinite wisdom dispatched an angel to bring his child, Kermit "PeeWee" T. Foreman Jr. home. She was the widow of John H. Estes and the daughter of the late John R. Bugg Sr. and Marie Chatham Bugg of Chase City, Va.
