Academic The Suffolk Sheriff's Office has announced five winners of the 2009 Virginia Sheriff's Institute Scholarship Program. They are Taylor E. Layne, Artina O. Mills, Brielle S. Wilson, Andre' D. Skinner and Jay D. Canaday. For the past 16 years Sheriff Raleigh Isa-acs and the institute have awarded 43 scholarships totaling more than $32,000 to college students living in the city of Suffolk.
