WINDSOR - Sadie Belle Jackson Owen, 97, went home to be with the Lord March 9, 2008. Born in Nansemond County, Virginia, and a native of Whaleyville, she was the daughter of the late Daniel F. and Fanny (Skinner) Jackson and was the wife of the late William Henry Owen.

Ruth E. Spivey

SMITHFIELD - Ruth Elizabeth Everett Spivey, 83, passed away March 9, 2008. Born in Suffolk, she had been a Smithfield resident since 1952. Ruth was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church, a devoted wife and mother and particularly cared about the welfare of her children. She was a keen bridge player and always enjoyed her time with "the girls." She also enjoyed fishing, antiques and flea market finds.

Catherine M. Weisz

VIRGINIA BEACH - Catherine Rose Morris Weisz, 85, passed away March 4, 2008. She was born in Capital Heights, Md., to the late John and Rose Benson Morris. She is survived by her husband, John A. Weisz; and two sons, Norman Hutson and his wife Patricia of Chesapeake and James Hutson and his wife Lynn of Louisa, Va., and their children.

NORFOLK - Lawrence R. Harris passed away March 1, 2008, in Heindenberg, Germany. He was the son of Charles Harris Sr. and the late Maxine Harris.
