Board Calls Special Meeting Subject Is `Personnel Evaluation,' but Kiefer Won't Say If It Involves School Superintendent

Evansville's School Board president has called a special meeting for Thursday, but he wouldn't confirm that its purpose is to discuss the status of Superintendent Bart McCandless. Before the 4 p.m. public meeting, the board will have an executive session at 2. That meeting's purpose will be "discussion of personnel evaluation," according to the official notification sent to the news media by board President Chris Kiefer.
